Job summary

Pay: $29.04 to $43.50 per hour.

Summary

The NDT Technician II will be responsible for conducting and interpreting non‑destructive tests on various aircraft components and structures using advanced NDT methods. This individual must hold a Level 2 NDT certification and is responsible for ensuring the integrity and quality of parts while maintaining compliance with industry and regulatory standards.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform and interpret non‑destructive tests on aerospace components using a variety of NDT techniques, including the preparation of parts before or after testing in accordance with approved work instructions.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and ensure proper documentation of all findings, ensuring compliance with customer, company, and regulatory requirements.
  • Set up and calibrate NDT equipment, and conduct tests in accordance with approved procedures and specifications.
  • Interpret and evaluate test results according to applicable standards, codes, and specifications, and make recommendations based on findings.
  • Review and analyze work orders, technical manuals, and blueprints to determine appropriate NDT methods and inspection criteria.
  • Provide guidance and training to Level 1 NDT Inspectors.
  • Maintain NDT equipment and conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA, EASA, and company safety, quality, and environmental policies.
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and corrective actions as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
  • 5 years of relevant NDT experience, including Eddy Current inspections.
  • An associate’s degree in lieu of 2 years experience.
  • Current Level 2 NDT certification(s) in accordance with NAS 410, or an equivalent standard, or eligibility to obtain.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ASTM, ASME, and NAS, as well as FAA and EASA regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions based on inspection data.
  • Communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in using basic computer software (Microsoft Office, data entry systems).
Preferred Requirements
  • 2–4 years of relevant NDT experience in the aerospace or aviation industry.
  • FAA Repairman or Inspector Authorization (IA) certification.
Other

Additional certification in other NDT methods.
