General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS) is seeking an experienced NDT Technician - Alternate 12 Hour Weekend B Shift (Friday evening 6:30 pm - 7:00 am Monday morning) to join our Lincoln, NE team. We are expanding and looking for motivated individuals to support our growth.

GD-OTS provides reliable composite products to defense and aerospace markets, designing, developing, manufacturing, and testing missile and space structures.

Major Responsibilities
  • Set up and standardize equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results.
  • Develop calibrations and tests.
  • Document results per specifications.
  • Identify errors and equipment defects.
  • Use ultrasound, radiography, or other techniques during testing.
  • Conduct system performance checks.
  • Maintain or develop procedures, policies, and techniques.
  • Maintain training and experience documentation.
Manager Specific Requests
  • Operate x-ray machines for radiographic imaging of multiple product lines.
  • Support x-ray/test/inspection processes and improvements.
  • Prepare inspection reports.
  • Assist technicians and engineering as needed.
  • Recommend improvements to methods, products, and facilities.
  • Develop procedures and techniques.
  • Perform other functions as directed.
Basic Qualifications
  • Preferred: Associate's Degree
  • Required: Vocational/Technical Training Degree & 2-4 years' experience or equivalent education/experience.
  • Current Industrial Radiography State Certification.
