General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS) is seeking an experienced NDT Technician II - 3rd Shift to join our Lincoln, NE organization. We are expanding rapidly and seeking motivated individuals to support and shape our growth.

GD-OTS provides reliable, affordable composite products to the defense and commercial aerospace markets, designing, developing, manufacturing, and testing a range of composite missile and space structures.

Major Responsibilities
  • Set up and standardize equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results.
  • Develop specific calibrations and tests.
  • Document results according to specifications.
  • Identify errors and defects in equipment.
  • Use ultrasound, radiography, or other techniques during testing.
  • Conduct system performance checks following process standards.
  • Maintain or develop procedures, policies, and techniques.
  • Maintain documentation for training and experience hours.
Manager Specific Requests:
  • Operate x-ray machines for radiographic imaging of multiple product lines.
  • Support x-ray/test/inspection processes and improvements, perform light troubleshooting.
  • Prepare x-ray/test/inspection reports.
  • Assist technicians and engineering as needed.
  • Recommend improvements for methods, products, and facilities.
  • Develop procedures and techniques.
  • Perform other functions as directed.
Basic Qualifications
  • Preferred: Associate's Degree
  • Required: Vocational/Technical Training Degree & 2-4 years' experience OR relevant education and experience; Current Industrial Radiography State Certification.
