Job summary

UL Solutions seeks an NDT Technician for second shift in Appleton, WI. You will witness performance testing and inspections of pumps, ladders, and related equipment, documenting results and ensuring compliance with UL standards.

The role requires English fluency and Level II NDT certification with MT, VT and UT training. It offers competitive salary ($65,000–$75,000), a 5% bonus target, health benefits, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English required.
• NDT Classroom Training MT, VT and UT with Level II NDT certification preferred.
• Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and technical ability.
• Strong verbal and client-facing communication skills.
• Ability to work outside year-round and inside production facilities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined or elevated spaces.
• Independent and team player with reliability.

Responsibilities

• Witness performance testing of water pumps and line voltage systems on automotive fire apparatus.
• Perform safety and non-safety certification inspections and analyze results.
• Use judgment to determine noncompliance variations.
• Audit customer quality programs.
• Communicate with manufacturers and authorities to conduct inspections.
• Document examination and test results on UL forms.
• Ensure calibration of measuring equipment.
