Job summary

Applied Technical Services (ATS) seeks Full-time Level II/III NDT Technicians for Nuclear Power inspections in North Carolina and the Southeast. Technicians will work on outages, shutdowns, and project work dispatched from home; per diem and mileage are paid.

Travel may be by personal vehicle or air, with opportunities mainly in the Southeast. Ideal candidates will be self-starters with strong safety and quality ethics, leadership, and the ability to work unsupervised.

Qualifications

• Minimum: NDT Level II or III per ASNT-TC-1A with documentation of education, training, and OJT in the applicable NDT method(s).
• Must have working knowledge of industrial environments and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to communicate with other departments and customers to report issues and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Focus on Nuclear Power related inspections, testing and evaluations.
• Conduct NDT inspections in 2 or more methods as a Level II/III MT/PT/UTT/UTS/VT/ET/PAUT/RT technicians.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced inspectors.
• Set up, conduct tests, and calibrate equipment.
• Prepare reports and other documents in an accurate and timely manner.
• Interface daily with client about work priorities and projects.
