Job summary

MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced NDT RT Technician to perform radiographic inspections and evaluate weld quality in accordance with applicable codes, customer specifications, and industry standards.

This on-site role requires industrial radiography experience, a Level II RT certification, and safety-consciousness in a fast-paced environment. Located in Houma, LA, this position offers opportunities for overtime, travel, and growth within a leading inspection services provider.

Qualifications

• Industrial radiography experience is required.
• Level II RT certification required.
• Valid State Card and TWIC are required; IRRSP preferred.
• Must pass DISA background and drug/alcohol screening.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform Radiographic Testing (RT) inspections on welded components and industrial assets.
• Set up, calibrate, and operate RT equipment.
• Interpret radiographic images and evaluate weld quality.
• Identify weld discontinuities such as porosity, slag inclusions, lack of fusion, incomplete penetration, and cracks.
• Verify compliance with ASME, AWS, API, and customer requirements.
• Prepare accurate inspection reports and documentation.
• Follow radiation safety and company safety procedures.
• Support outage, maintenance, fabrication, and inspection projects.
• Work overtime, nights, weekends, and travel assignments as needed.

The ideal candidate will have industrial radiography experience, strong safety awareness, and the ability to interpret radiographic images and assess weld integrity.

Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certifications: UT, MT, PT, VT & Offshore Safety Training
• Experience in refinery, fabrication, manufacturing, aerospace, or industrial environments
• Experience with CR/DR systems
