Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Orlando is seeking a Quality Inspector to conduct nondestructive testing inspections at the Orlando Manufacturing Center, determine effective inspection methods for materials and components, and ensure products meet internal quality standards and customer requirements.

Responsibilities include performing eddy current, ultrasonic, radiographic, FPI, visual, and thermographic inspections, reading drawings, documenting results, and advising on corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of nondestructive testing methods and inspection techniques.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
• Basic mathematical skills including fractions, decimals, ratios, and percentages.
• Basic computer skills including email, word processing, and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Examine materials and products for defects including cracks, porosity, incomplete welds, leaks, and internal flaws.
• Perform inspections utilizing eddy current, ultrasonic, radiographic, FPI, visual, and thermographic techniques.
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications to verify dimensions and compliance.
• Document inspection results and report findings to Engineering.
• Make technical judgments on inspection results and provide recommendations for corrective actions and process improvements.
• Assist Engineering with technical evaluations, including component life assessments.
