Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a detail-oriented NDT Operator - Wax for the 3rd shift to perform x-ray inspections of wax patterns and support quality initiatives in a manufacturing setting.

You will collaborate with Engineering to ensure product integrity, maintain safety and cleanliness, document work in Lot Control, and participate in continuous improvement while adhering to SOPs and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform x-ray inspection of wax patterns and evaluate wax wall thickness in accordance with established procedures.
  • Serve as a liaison between Production and Engineering regarding wax wall measurements, x-ray results, wax patterns, and cores.
  • Provide timely feedback to Engineering to help prevent wall thickness excursions and core breakage.
  • Conduct x-ray and wax wall inspections on a full-time basis while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
  • Accurately document completed work in Lot Control and apply all required identification.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and ensure equipment is properly maintained.
  • Follow all applicable SOPs, work instructions, and quality requirements.
  • Observe all safety regulations and wear required PPE at all times.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented NDT Operator - Wax to join our team on 3rd shift. In this role, you will perform x-ray inspections of wax patterns, support quality initiatives, and collaborate closely with Engineering to ensure product integrity and process consistency. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, quality-driven, and thrives in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform x-ray inspection of wax patterns and evaluate wax wall thickness in accordance with established procedures.
  • Serve as a liaison between Production and Engineering regarding wax wall measurements, x-ray results, wax patterns, and cores.
  • Provide timely feedback to Engineering to help prevent wall thickness excursions and core breakage.
