Job summary

PTC Liberty Tubulars LLC in Ohio is seeking an NDT Operator to ensure pipe or casing quality using EMI and UT techniques. You will set up and calibrate equipment, maintain inspection gear, and verify standards.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, UT or EMI courses, and 120+ hours of NDT experience with certifications. You will read inspection charts, report quality issues, and support the QA team in a busy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a 40-hour UT course or 28-hour EMI course.
  • Minimum 120 hours of NDT experience with certifications.
  • Ability to read inspection charts and determine pass/fail.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and calibrate NDT equipment.
  • Maintain inspection equipment and changeover as needed.
  • Verify inspection standards are met.
  • Read inspection charts and determine pass or fail.
  • Communicate quality issues to QA supervisor and production.
  • Prepare NDT reject samples in lab.

NDT Operators are responsible for assuring the NDT equipment is set up to assure we meet our quality standards as well as following Quality proceduresResponsibilities:Properly set up and calibrate equipmentMaintain inspection equipmentChangeover equipmentVerify Inspection standards are still expectableAble to read Inspection chart and determine good or badCommunicating quality issues to quality supervisor and productionPrep NDT reject samples in labMinimum Education and/or Experience Requirements:Education: High School or equivalent. 40 hour UT course or 28 Hour EMI courseYears of Experience: 120+ hours of NDT experience with certificationsThe incumbent is expected to understand that all employees have a shared responsibility for the quality of products and related services provided to our customers.
