Job summary

Applied Technical Services, LLC (ATS) is seeking Level II UTSW Technicians for a shipyard contract assignment near Charleston, SC. The role offers competitive pay at $55/hr and per diem per current GSA rates, with steady work and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities include performing NAVSEA-compliant NDT examinations, setting up testing equipment, and coordinating with managers and clients to define scopes and priorities. Applicants must meet NDT Level II requirements and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Level II NDT Technician with documented education, training and experience.
• Certification of UT Level I and UT Level II/UTSW Level II classroom training per SNT-TC-1A.
• NAVSEA/shipyard experience preferred; additional NDT certs (VT/MT) a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform NDT examinations of materials per NAVSEA procedures and specs.
• Set up and utilize NDT testing equipment.
• Provide OJT and guidance to trainees as appropriate.
• Interface with department managers and clients to determine scope and priorities.
