Job summary

Xcel Ndt is seeking an NDE Technician in Tappahannock, VA. The technician will perform calibrations and Nondestructive Tests (NDT) for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions.

Level II Technicians will set up and calibrate equipment, interpret results, and ensure adherence to codes and safety regulations. This role requires a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in various conditions.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent along with certification as an NDT Level II RT.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results.
• Knowledge of NDT methods and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
• Conduct tests using NDT methods of inspection.
• Establish examination techniques ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
• Interpret radiographs and evaluate results.
• Organize and report test results.
• May instruct and supervise others.
