Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is seeking a Year‑Round Internship at our Lincoln, NE facility to support the NonDestructive Testing department. The role involves performing Computed Radiography, Ultrasonic (A-Scan/C-Scan), and Penetrant Inspections, collaborating with Engineering and Production to troubleshoot manufacturing issues based on NDT results.

The position requires current enrollment in related technical courses or within 6 months of graduation, with no prior experience

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in related Technical courses or be within 6 months of graduation; No prior experience needed.
• Must be enrolled in a technical college or degree‑seeking program.
• Ability to work as part of a team; strong oral and written communication; attentiveness; ability to understand and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to technical employees working in an organizational function related to the Intern's area of study.
• Assists with technical tasks and project support.
• Supports equipment set up and monitors tests and experiments.
• Observes results, collects data, and compiles summaries and reports.
• Learns technical processes and procedures.
• Job shadows other more experienced professionals and or support staff.
• May also support the documentation & updates of procedures or work instructions.
• Handles basic issues and problems.
