Job summary

IMIA, LLC is seeking a NDT VT MT PT Inspector Level II to perform VT, MT and PT inspections on surface ships and submarines. In this role you will follow approved inspection procedures and help write standards for VT/MT/PT, while providing on-the-job training to trainees and LI/LII inspectors.

Location is Groton, CT with potential travel; high attention to detail, safety and quality are essential. In-person certification testing may be required in Bremerton, WA or Chesapeake, VA, with expenses

Qualifications

• NDT Level II per NAVSEA 271 requirements.
• Experience with SMAW, GTAW and GMAW welding.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and procedures.
• Willingness to travel and work 40+ hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Performs VT, MT and PT inspections on surface ships and submarines.
• Follow approved company inspection procedures.
• Assist with developing procedures/standards for VT/MT/PT.
• Provide on-the-job training for trainees and inspectors.
• Maintain safety and quality standards; ensure clean, organized work areas.
