Job summary

StandardAero in the United States is seeking an NDT II Inspector to perform accurate nondestructive testing in compliance with industry standards. You will set up equipment, conduct tests, and report results while ensuring safety protocols are followed.

The role may involve training others and performing additional tasks as directed by management. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of FPI experience, PT Level 2 certs documentation, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with FPI method.
• Must provide documentation such as OJT and certs for PT Level 2 (400 hours).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to sit or stand for at least 50% of shift.
• Able to read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate non-destructing testing equipment in accordance with the industry requirements.
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
• Organize and report test results.
• May train others as needed.
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.

Desired Skills

• Formal training hours (classroom 32 hours).

• Previous experience adhering to quality inspections.

• Visual acuity and color vision.

• Accurately interprets inspection results, and apply strong mechanical aptitude.

• Communicates clearly and effectively in verbal and written form; conducts themselves professionally and remains open to others' ideas and feedback.

• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, promotes quality standards, provides feedback, and actively seeks opportunities for continuous improvement.
