Job summary

Apera in Mountain View is seeking an experienced NDT Inspector for composite aircraft components, Level II or III, onsite with a 6:00 a.m. start. The role focuses on ensuring engineering, quality and safety standards for advanced aircraft hardware.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience inspecting composite aircraft components or structures.
• NDT Level II or Level III certification under NAS-410 or equivalent standard.
• 5+ years for Level II or 8+ years for Level III experience.
• Experience setting up inspection equipment, interpreting results and making accept/reject decisions.
• Knowledge of composite materials, common defects and aerospace inspection requirements.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Mountain View with a 6:00 a.m. start.
• Ultrasonic testing experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Apera is supporting an advanced aerospace company developing an autonomous, all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft designed to transform passenger travel.

The company is bringing together aircraft design, electric propulsion, autonomy and flight testing to create a new form of safe, sustainable air mobility. As its latest aircraft progresses through testing and towards certification, quality and structural integrity are critical.

They are now looking for a hands-on NDT Inspector to inspect composite aircraft components and ensure they meet demanding engineering, quality and safety requirements.

What you’ll be doing

• Perform nondestructive inspections on composite aircraft parts and structures.

What we’re looking for

• Proven hands-on experience inspecting composite aircraft components or structures.
• Current or previous NDT Level II or Level III certification under NAS-410 or an equivalent recognised standard.
• At least five years of relevant experience for Level II or eight years for Level III.
• Experience setting up inspection equipment, interpreting results and making accept/reject decisions.
• Knowledge of composite materials, common defects and aerospace inspection requirements.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work fully onsite in Mountain View with a 6:00 a.m. start.

Ultrasonic testing experience—including A-scan, C-scan, immersion or phased-array methods—would be advantageous but is not mandatory. The priority is strong, practical experience inspecting composite aircraft parts using recognised NDT methods.
