Job summary

Acuren is recruiting for NDT Assistants to support our operation in Billings, MT. NDT Assistants will help calibrate, perform nondestructive tests, and evaluate results for acceptance or rejection per written instructions and records.

We are seeking local candidates based in Billings, Montana, with a preference for those who can contribute to safe and compliant testing. Responsibilities include setting up NDT equipment, assisting radiographers, and recording inspection results as part of a team

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Some college preferred.
• Technical background preferred.
• Must pass background check and security clearances per regulations.
• Motor Vehicle Driving record must meet company standards to drive company vehicles.
• IRRSP card.
• 40 Hour Radiation Safety Training preferred.
• Valid TWIC card or be able to obtain.
• Based in Billings, Montana.

Responsibilities

• Set up and utilize Nondestructive Test equipment.
• Assist Radiographers in the calibration of NDT equipment.
• Assist Radiographers to conduct tests to ensure quality or detect defects using NDT methods of inspection.
• Record results of inspections.

NDT Assistants will assist in performing calibrations, Nondestructive Tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results.

LOCATION REQUIREMENTS: We are currently seeking local candidates who are based in Billings, Montana. While we welcome applications from all qualified individuals, local candidates are preferred due to the nature of the role.

Requirements

• Technical background desired


• Must be able to have experience, credentials and history to be certified as Trustworthy & Reliable to comply with federal and state regulations, as determined by a thorough background check
