Job summary

Acuren in Billings, Montana is seeking a NDT Assistant to support our on-site operations. You will assist in calibrations, nondestructive testing, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection according to written instructions and recorded results.

This entry-level role requires a High School diploma, a willingness to learn, and ability to pass background checks and meet driving record standards. Local candidates preferred due to on-site requirements; training and safety certifications such as

Acuren is currently recruting for NDT Assistants to support our operation in Billings, MT

NDT Assistants will assist in performing calibrations, Nondestructive Tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results.

LOCATION REQUIREMENTS: We are currently seeking local candidates who are based in Billings, Montana. While we welcome applications from all qualified individuals, local candidates are preferred due to the nature of the role.

Responsibilities

• Set up and utilize Nondestructive Test equipment
• Assist Radiographers in the calibration of NDT equipment
• Assist Radiographers to conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Record results of inspections
• Assist performing NDT procedures, carrying equipment and other operations
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Some college preferred
• Technical background desired
• Must be able to have experience, credentials and history to be certified as Trustworthy & Reliable to comply with federal and state regulations, as determined by a thorough background check
• Motor Vehicle Driving record must meet company standards to drive company vehicles
• IRRSP card
• 40 Hour Radiation Safety Training preferred
• Valid TWIC card or be able to obtain
• Based in Billings, Montana
