Job summary

Rheem Manufacturing is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Apprentice in Missouri to balance hands-on technical training with mandatory coursework toward an Associate of Applied Science degree. You will repair and fabricate facility machinery while earning your degree and gaining critical industry skills.

Responsibilities include maintaining production equipment, assisting with plant improvements, and fabricating parts using basic tools and welding techniques.

Qualifications

• Willing to learn maintenance procedures, troubleshooting and repair.
• Ability to work flexible and extended hours.
• Technical School background or related experience preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of maintenance procedures, troubleshooting and repair.
• Industrial maintenance/manufacturing experience and/or preventive maintenance is a plus.
• PLC training or experience is desirable.
• Electrical/electronic training is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain production and facility equipment.
• Communicate with maintenance personnel and supervisors as required.
• Under direction, move machines and install pipe, fixtures, and related equipment; support plant improvement projects.
• Fabricate parts with machine tools and basic welding techniques.
• Build simple structures from wood, metal, or other materials with hand and power tools.
• Ensure tools are retrieved, cleaned, and stored after use.
• Participate in continuing education courses toward the AAS degree as outlined.
• Support safety and housekeeping standards on the shop floor.

Job description

This role is for an Industrial Maintenance Apprentice who balances hands-on technical training with mandatory academic coursework. The position focuses on repairing and fabricating facility machinery while earning an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain a variety of production and facility equipment
• Communicate with maintenance personnel and supervisors as required
• Under direction, move machines; install pipe, fixtures, and related equipment; and provide support work for plant improvement projects
• Under direction, use machine tools or other special equipment to form/fabricate parts and components
• Build simple structures from wood, metal, or other materials, as directed, using hand tools, power tools, welding and basic fabricating techniques
• Get required tools, or equipment, clean up area, and store tools and equipment
• Perform other duties as required
• Must participate in continuing education courses in pursuit of AAS degree as outlined in the Apprenticeship guidelines.
