Job summary

The Structures Company seeks an NDI Technician in Kinston, NC, for a contract role. You will perform non-destructive inspections using UT, radiography, and related methods, ensuring compliance with customer specs. You will set up NDI equipment and mentor trainees.

Required: degree, 3 years’ related experience, UT Level 1 and Level 2 certifications, NAS 410, and experience with phased array and other UT methods. 3-month contract with extension potential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related discipline with 3 years of related experience.
• Ultrasonic Testing Level 1 certification with 40 hours UT Level 1 training.
• Ultrasonic Testing Level 2 certification with 40 hours UT Level 2 training.

Responsibilities

• Uses analysis techniques to evaluate properties of materials, components, or systems without damage.
• Performs non-destructive inspection methods such as UT, phased array, and other techniques.
• Sets up and standardizes NDI equipment and processes for inspection.
• Interprets inspection results for acceptance or rejection and documents results.
• Provides guidance and supervision to trainees in NDI methods.
• Performs audit surveillance on non-destructive inspection processes and documents non-conformances.
