Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic 2/NDI II to oversee and perform maintenance on CH-47, AH-64, UH-60 helicopters. You will inspect, troubleshoot, and service aircraft subsystems, ensuring compliance with manuals and safety standards.

This role requires leadership of teams through complex maintenance tasks and preparation of maintenance records. Candidate must have three years of aviation maintenance experience including rotary wing, and NAS 410/ASNT-CP-189 training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• U.S. military technical school or specialized training is desired; education level cert is required.
• Valid up-to-date A&P license is optional.
• Three years aviation maintenance and rotary wing experience within six years.
• Must be trained per NAS 410 or ASNT-CP-189 to the assigned level.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and performs maintenance on helicopters per manuals and safety procedures.
• Oversees removal/installation of engines, gearboxes, rotors, and subsystems.
• Oversees inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of subsystems.
• Prepares forms and records related to aircraft maintenance and compliance.
• Leads teams through complex tasks and provides guidance.
