ASRC Federal System Solutions (ASFF) brings a 14-year history of delivering high-performance space systems engineering, integration, and satellite operations services to civil and defense agencies. ASFF provides these services throughout all phases of the program life cycle and across the entire space systems architecture, including space and ground assets.
Job Description
The NDT/Quality Control (QC) inspector will support the Orion manned space flight program at the Neil Armstrong Operations and Checkout Facility, Kennedy Space Center, Florida. This fast-paced Manufacturing and Assembly, Test & Launch Operations (ATLO) environment requires inspectors to collaborate with experienced Quality Engineering (QE) and NDT teams, ensuring product quality and acceptance requirements are met. The role primarily involves nondestructive evaluation, providing results and defect analysis in coordination with Orion ATLO operational and engineering groups.
Preferred candidates will have prior NAS410 Level 2 or 3 certification(s) in multiple methods. Responsibilities include interpreting and applying technical procedures, providing written reports on acceptance/rejection/evaluation results of Orion Space Systems hardware, and reviewing/approving inspection records for compliance.
Inspectors must work effectively both in teams and independently, support inspections during off-shifts, and respond quickly to program needs. They will investigate nonconforming materials, determine root causes, recommend corrective actions, and support Material Review Board (MRB) decisions.
