Job summary

SpaceX seeks an NDE Inspector (Starship) to join the NDE Operations team. The role emphasizes surface and volumetric inspections, reporting findings to production and engineering, and aiding in developing inspection techniques for complex geometries.

The ideal candidate holds an ASNT/NAS-410 Level II certification and aerospace NDE experience, with readiness to work overtime and lift up to 50 lbs as needed in a spaceflight environment.

Qualifications

• NDE Level II certification aligned with ASNT NAS-410 or DOD guidance.
• Experience with multiple NDE methods (ET, RT, DR, PT, VT, CR, PAUT, UT, UTSW, MT).
• Aerospace NDE inspection experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform surface and volumetric NDE inspections.
• Interpret, evaluate, communicate, and report findings to production and engineering teams.
• Review engineering drawings as required and support technique development for complex geometries.
• Assist in training team members and participating in process improvements.
