Job summary

Qualifications

• Sets up, calibrates, and operates x-ray, ultrasonic, eddy current, liquid penetrant and magnetic particle NDE equipment.
• Performs dimensional and visual inspections on fabricated items for conformance.
• Requires passing eye test and PT-II/MT-II certification tests per SNT-TC-IA.

Responsibilities

• Receives work instructions and inspects parts/materials through NDE and dimensional inspection process.
• Sets up and uses ultrasonic, x-ray, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle and eddy current equipment.
• Maintains radiation safety area and performs crane operation as needed.
• Inspects items against drawings and purchase orders; records data and disposition.
• Accepts/rejects parts and documents material movement.
