MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking an NDE coordinator for a long-term project in Newell, WV. Per Diem available.

Applicants Must Be Able To Provide The Following Documents:

  • High School Diploma/GED/Degree
  • Proof of classroom hours/Training in NDT
  • Previous level II certifications/OJT

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Set up and calibrate equipment
  • Conduct tests with appropriate NDT technique(s)
  • Interpret, evaluate and document results
  • Thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the method in which certified and capable of directing the work of trainees and Level I
  • Familiar with the codes, standards, and contractual documents that control the method as utilized by the company
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Obtain and analyze information
  • Edit and present numerical data effectively

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Graduate of a specialized NDT technical program meeting SNT-TC-1A
  • Prior certification as an NDE Level II with one year experience or as an NDE Level I technician with adequate field experience hours to certify to Level II per SNT-TC-1A
  • Demonstrate competencies such as problem solving, communication skills, interpersonal skills, planning, adaptability, dependability, quality, and safety

Working Conditions:

  • Outdoor field duties in a plant environment
  • Interaction with crew, supervisors, and other personnel
  • Work around machinery with extreme noise
  • Must be physically fit, able to carry 50 lbs, and wear safety equipment
  • Potential travel to multiple job sites and tolerate climate variations

Essential Physical Functions:

  • Ability to frequently lift and carry 50 lbs
