Qualifications

• Master's degree in School Psychology required.
• Valid School Psychologist Certificate.
• Eligibility to obtain Illinois ISBE-PEL state educator's license.
• Comprehensive experience with psychological and educational assessment instruments.
• Strong ability to develop effective relationships with students, parents, and educational staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and coordinate psychological assessments for students referred to special education services.
• Prepare accurate and timely reports in compliance with due process requirements.
• Interpret psychological test results for parents and teachers, translating findings into actionable strategies.
• Provide professional development for staff on assessment, child development, confidentiality, and due process.
• Consult with staff and parents regarding assessments from other agencies and incorporate findings into student support plans.
• Participate as an active member of the IEP team, offering expertise in psychological and educational assessments.
• Serve as a liaison between the school and community agencies when assigned.
• Advise staff on psychological and mental health matters, contributing to a positive school culture.
• Promote staff morale and support the school’s educational mission.
