Job summary

Stadler Rail AG is seeking an NCR Specialist in Salt Lake City to ensure products meet drawing specifications and to lead corrective actions. The role requires handling non-conformances, root cause analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to drive continuous improvements.

You will review supplier certificates, communicate NCR status, and develop corrective actions across departments. Associates degree and NCR/SQA experience are preferred to ensure timely resolutions and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum associate degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Experience with SQA or NCR responsibilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience managing supplier performance and corrective actions.
• Proficiency with MS Office and analytic tools.
• ERP systems experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the non-conformance process and resolve escapes promptly.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions with cross-functional support.
• Review supplier inspection certificates and reports.
• Communicate non-conformance status and solutions internally and externally.
• Lead across departments and suppliers for internal rework and repair concepts and execution.
• Maintain MRB information for all projects.
• Review, apply, and write SOPs and work instructions.
• Monitor ongoing non-conformances and metrics.
• Bring non-conforming material into compliance using customer and internal specifications.
• Create and utilize NCRs and Engineering Change Requests.
• Identify, report and recommend solutions for recurring quality control issues.
• Create 8D and 5 WHY Reports and follow-up as required.
• Maintain supplier relationships for NCR resolution.

HOW YOU CAN MAKE AN IMPACT

Key Activities

• Monitor the non-conformance process and escape issues not resolved in a timely manner.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective/preventative action plans with cross functional support.
• Review supplier inspection certificates and reports.
• Communicate internally and externally non-conformance status and solutions.
• Lead across departments and suppliers for internal rework and repair concepts and execution.
• Maintain Material Review Board (MRB) information for all projects.
• Review, apply, and write standard operating procedures and work instructions.
• Monitor ongoing non-conformances and applicable metrics.
• Bring non-conforming material into compliance using customer and internal specifications.
• Create and utilize Non-Conformance Reports and Engineering Change Requests.
• Identify, report and recommend solutions for recurring quality control issues.
• Create 8D and 5 WHY Reports, corrective and preventative actions; follow-up as required.
• Maintain supplier relationships to continually ensure consistent and timely resolution of NCR issues.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
