Experience Qualifications: Construction work experience with a basic understanding of construction methods and activities similar to those of the assigned project. Experience may include federal, municipal, transportation, ports, or marina projects.
Main Duties:
Education/Knowledge: High school diploma or GED, OSHA certification (or obtain within 3 months), basic mathematics skills, relevant training or experience in construction or civil engineering, knowledge of construction materials and methods.
Skills and Abilities: Ability to perform inspections, utilize computers and software, read plans and specifications, apply mathematical and engineering principles, communicate effectively, use surveying tools, and work outdoors in various weather conditions. Valid driver’s license required, with ability to travel.
Work is assigned by engineers and supervisors, with increasing independence as skills develop.
