Job summary

OST Workforce is seeking a Technical Specialist who will serve as a mainframe expert. The ideal candidate will have mainframe skills including CICS, DB2, Endevor, IMS, JCL, and experience with MQ as a beneficial middleware.

They should possess thorough knowledge of Z/OS and related tooling, plus the ability to guide Endevor configuration management and release practices. The role emphasizes evaluating SQL queries for performance and cost efficiency and collaborating with application developers

• Ability to provide configuration management /release management support and guidance for Endevor software.
• Thorough knowledge of SQL (Structured Query Language) programming language and techniques.
• Thorough knowledge of tools and utilities to support DB2.
• Ability to evaluate complex SQL queries and recommend suggestions for better software performance and cost savings.
• Ability to provide CICS administration, problem-solving and debugging support interfacing with application developers as well as DIT personnel.
