Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking NCCCO-certified Crane Operators for Maintenance positions in the Port Arthur, TX area. The Operators will operate power-driven machinery to move dirt or materials and follow safety procedures on site.

Qualifying candidates will have NCCCO certification, a CDL, and the ability to read load charts. The role is non-exempt and reports to Foreman or Site Manager, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent
• NCCCO certification required (Large and Small)
• CDL required
• Knowledge of current rigging inspection color codes
• Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the company Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
• Comply with company and client job site safety requirements
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Responsibilities

• Moves hand and foot levers to control diesel, electric, gasoline or steam-powered operating equipment
• interprets hand signals to determine where materials are to be placed
• reads and interprets load charts
• may assemble or disassemble equipment or material on construction projects
• may be required to manipulate equipment on un-level working surfaces
• may perform maintenance duties such as cleaning, greasing and oiling machines/equipment
• ensure all rigging has proper inspection and color codes
• perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
