Job summary

Eaton's ES GEIS CHD division is seeking a NC Servicer in Syracuse, NY. You will plan and perform maintenance and repair of NC/CNC equipment, troubleshoot boards, and ensure proper operation of complex systems.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, with 2-year electronics/ electrical tech degree preferred and at least five years of NC/CNC repair experience. PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus, with attention to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years experience in NC and CNC repair.
• 2-year degree in electronics or electrical technology or equivalent.
• PLC experience in troubleshooting preferred.
• Journeyman certification or educational equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform maintenance and repair of NC/CNC equipment.
• Tear down, diagnose, repair, replace parts, and reassemble.
• Adjust equipment to specification and verify operation.
• Troubleshoot printed circuit boards and perform electrical tests.
• Operate forklift as required.
• Maintain clean and safe work area; follow safety regulations.
• Complete training as assigned.

Eaton’s ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a NC Servicer.The hourly rate for this position is $40.51 per hour.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:Description :Plan and perform all required operations pertaining to the maintenance and repair of complicated numerical control equipment.Tear down, determine extent of troubles, repair damaged electrical or mechanical mechanism or replace worn or defective parts and reassemble.Adjust equipment to required specification and check to assure effective operation.Check sequence of machine cycle, determine type of machine malfunction, make all necessary repairs applying machine repair theory along with electrical theory.Perform electrical test operations on all tape controlled equipment.Work from complex schematic diagrams, manuals and testing procedures. Troubleshoot all defective printed circuit assembly boards.Check boards for proper assembly, wiring, and accuracy of all component parts.Perform similar or associated electrical or mechanical duties as directed.Operate fork truck as required in performance of job duties.Detect and report all unusual cases to proper supervision. Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition.Follow standard or prescribed safety regulations.
