Job summary

WNCSource Children's Services in Hendersonville, NC is hiring an NC Pre-K Teacher to plan meaningful learning experiences aligned with NC Pre-K and Head Start frameworks. You will promote growth across physical, social-emotional, cognitive, and language domains and engage families through ongoing assessments and home visits.

The role focuses on creating a nurturing, inclusive classroom, building strong partnerships with families, and ensuring smooth transitions into and out of the NC Pre-K

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services, or a related field.
• Preferred: B-K licensure or working toward a B-K or Preschool Add-on License

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement meaningful learning experiences aligned with NC Pre-K and Head Start frameworks.
• Promote growth in physical, social-emotional, cognitive, and language development.
• Use ongoing assessments to inform instruction and track progress toward School Readiness Goals.
• Foster positive, supportive relationships with children and families.
• Conduct home visits and parent-teacher conferences to build two-way communication.
• Ensure safe, healthy environments in both classroom and outdoor settings.
• Support successful transitions into and out of the NC Pre-K program.
