Job summary

Child Development Schools North Carolina LLC in Hubert, North Carolina, is seeking an NC PreK Lead Teacher to oversee a preschool classroom and implement the NC Pre-K curriculum with a focus on School Readiness goals. You will assess progress, document development, and partner with families to support each child’s growth.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree and active pursuit of NC licensure, plus relevant preschool teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of one year's preschool teaching experience.
• Bachelor's Degree and active pursuit of NC Birth through Kindergarten (B-K) or Preschool Add-on licensure; licensure options listed in qualifications.
• Qualifications must include one of the following: NC Initial Provisional B-K License, NC K-6 license with provisional Preschool Add-on, license from another state with NC Provisional B-K, or a related field degree qualifying for NC Initial Provisional B-K License.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons and activities for the NC PreK classroom.
• Keep the classroom safe, organized, and compliant with licensing and ratio requirements.
• Observe and document each child's development and share progress with families regularly.
• Build relationships with parents through daily communication and scheduled conferences.
• Complete required documentation including attendance, incident reports, and assessments.

Your Role as anNC Pre-KLead Teacher:

We are on the lookout for dedicated professionals like YOU to oversee classroom activities, adhering to standards set by the NC Division of Child Development and Early Education, and aligning with theobjectivesof the current NC Pre-K Curriculum. Your role involves creating a nurturing and positive environment for our children and their families, fostering strongbondsand supporting their comprehensive development. You willbe responsible fordesigning and executing learning experiences that encompass a broad range of developmental areas including physical health, social-emotional growth, cognitive skills, and creative expression. Moreover,you'llconduct regular assessments tomonitorthe children's progress towards School Readiness Goals, tailoring the curriculum to meet the individual needs of each child, including those with disabilities. Upholding health and safety protocols is paramount in your role, ensuring a secure and clean environment by adhering to strict procedures for hygiene, food handling, illness management, and child supervision. Your dedication to these responsibilities will be instrumental in guiding our young learners towards a bright future.

Pay and benefits

Pay: 30,000-50,000/annually Follows State guided NC PreK Teacher salary based on years of experience and WORKS level education credential

Requirements

You Might Be the Perfect Fit if You:

• Are at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or GED, and have a minimum of one year's experience in preschool teaching. Additionally, you must hold a Bachelor's Degree and be actively pursuing either NC Birth through Kindergarten (B-K) or Preschool Add-on Standard Professional II licensure. Your qualifications must include one of the following: an NC Initial Provisional Lateral Entry B-K License, a North Carolina K-6 license with a provisional Preschool Add-on license, a license from another state accompanied by an NC Provisional B-K license, or a degree in a related field that qualifies you for an NC Initial Provisional Lateral Entry B-K License.
