Job summary

Child Development Schools North Carolina LLC is seeking a North Carolina Pre-K Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in delivering high-quality early childhood education. You will help implement the NC Pre‑K Curriculum and foster a nurturing classroom that supports children’s growth.

You will observe, document, and assist with planning activities across physical, social-emotional, cognitive, and creative domains, while building positive relationships with families and the broader school

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and be working toward or hold an associate degree in birth-through-kindergarten, early childhood education, or a related field, or hold a CDA credential.
• Empathy for children and strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet community needs and changing circumstances.
• Able to meet the physical demands of working with young children.

Responsibilities

• Assist the NC Pre-K Lead Teacher in overseeing classroom activities and implementing the NC Pre-K Curriculum.
• Help plan and implement learning experiences across developmental domains (physical health, social-emotional, cognitive, creative).
• Observe and assess children’s development and support curriculum adaptations for individual needs.
• Contribute to creating a nurturing environment and strong relationships with children and families.

Your Role as a Pre‑K Assistant Teacher:

We are seeking passionate educators like YOU to assist the NC Pre‑K Lead Teacher in overseeing classroom activities, adhering to standards set by the NC Division of Child Development and Early Education, and aligning with the objectives of the current NC Pre‑K Curriculum.
