Job summary

O'Neal Manufacturing Services is seeking an Engineering Technician to design, program, manufacture, and verify setups and fixtures for NC machines and offline processes. The role supports Production and Quality as a technical resource for troubleshooting and applications assistance.

Responsibilities include creating setups, training staff, diagnosing issues across machining, burning, forming, and welding, and driving process improvements while maintaining a clean, organized engineering area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; further education preferred.
• Five years of manufacturing experience is required; Lean manufacturing preferred.
• 1–3 years of NC machine operations experience required; VMC or HMC experience preferred.
• Proficient with basic computer tools (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Ability to read and interpret prints and drawings, and use measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Create and verify setups, fixtures, and programs for NC machines and offline processes.
• Assist in training production staff on setups, fixtures, and machine operations.
• Troubleshoot and provide applications assistance on machining, burning, forming, and welding processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Model and export new parts and rev changes; support project work as needed.
• Maintain organized engineering/fixture area and ensure accuracy for internal/external customers.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure timely project completion.
