Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or manufacturing related field is required
  • CNC programming/machining experience is required
  • Familiarity with MS Office; Catia, NX Unigraphics, SAP desirable
  • Combination of extensive experience (10+ years) and other education may substitute for degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English
  • Must be able to obtain US citizenship or permanent resident status and security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge and development of up-to-date CNC/machining practices
  • Develop and train personnel to new processes
  • Collaborate with CNC programmers and project teams to process parts
  • Support design and manufacturing during project execution
  • Manage planning, purchases, and budgets for machining projects
  • Oversee production processes and facilities
  • Lead high-level and detailed project plans and schedules
  • Coordinate with customer technical teams on requirements and status
  • Direct engineering activities including design and drafting
  • Ensure materials are organized and ready for manufacturing
  • Maintain frequent shop-floor interaction to monitor project health
  • Meet quality requirements for projects
  • Perform risk assessments and monitor project finances
  • Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors
  • Maintain timely attendance and reliability
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Department Summary

NC Engineers are responsible for creating and maintaining NC Programming and machining processes. An ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, an aptitude for CNC and machining processes, and should be technically knowledgeable of a wide range of manufacturing aspects. Activities will include CNC programming, machining process development, ownership of machining related projects including any pre and post machining operations.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Maintain knowledge and development of the most up to date CNC/machining practices
  • Develop and train personnel to new processes
  • Work with CNC programmers and project teams to effectively process parts through CNC machines
  • Communicates, consults with, and participates in design and manufacturing support
  • Helps to develop and release planning and purchases supplies
  • Maintains an overview of production processes and facilities
  • Develops and executes high level and detailed project plans, including managing schedules and budgets
  • Works directly with the customer technical team to determine detailed requirements and deliverables, communicates or presents to customer on project status or health
  • Directs and participates in engineering activities, including design and drafting, engineering reviews, and work order preparation
  • Responsible for assuring materials are organized and ready for manufacturing
  • Interacts frequently with shop floor to ensure project health
  • Completes and understands all quality requirements for projects
  • Manages project scope and performs risk assessments
  • Monitors and reports project financial performance
  • Shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in the English language
  • Must be at work on time and maintain good attendance, this is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Design Technology, or a similar field is required
  • CNC programming/machining experience
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office products; some experience with Catia, NX Unigraphics, and SAP is desirable
  • A combination of Extensive work experience, (10+ Years) and other education may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language
  • Must be familiar with a variety of the fields' concepts, practices and procedures
  • Must be able to rely on extensive experience, problem‑solving skills and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in the English language
  • Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
Detailed Wage Information

Wage range for this role is between $40 - $60 an hour plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
