Job summary

Choice Translating is seeking contract interpreters for on-site (Charlotte, NC) and remote opportunities (VRI/OPI) in multiple languages, with emphasis on Chinese-English fluency. Candidates should be fully bilingual and able to work in the U.S.

with a valid driving record and reliable transportation. Open to interpreters in North Carolina or other states for VRI/OPI opportunities; HS diploma required, college degree preferred, and familiarity with HIPAA and ethics codes is expected.

Qualifications

• Technologically proficient with video conferencing tools such as Google Meet and Microsoft Teams.
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret spoken communication in real-time.
• Communicate clearly and professionally in both languages.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA and the interpreter Code of Ethics.
• Manage your own flexible schedule and accept appointments as needed.
• Provide services on-site, via video (VRI), or by phone (OPI).
• Be punctual, professional, and committed to high-quality work.

Location

• Based in Charlotte, NC, for on-site interpreting
• Open to interpreters in North Carolina or other states for VRI/OPI opportunities

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the U.S. (Green Card or higher)
• Clean driving record , valid driver’s insurance, and reliable transportation
