The City of South Bend is seeking a Golf Shop Attendant who will assist in daily operations at the golf shop. Responsibilities include managing sales transactions, greeting customers, and maintaining inventory in a professional manner. Candidates should possess a High School Diploma, previous cash handling experience, and a basic knowledge of golf operations. The role requires effective communication and customer service skills, contributing to a positive environment for all guests.
SALARY: $12.10 - per hour
POSITION SUMMARY: The Golf Shop Attendant is responsible for assisting the Golf Professional and Assistant Manager with the day–to-day operations of the golf shop.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• Previous experience in cash handling.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY:
• Knowledge of basic golf course operations.
• Product knowledge of Shop Merchandise
• Working knowledge of City or County government a plus.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSE, REGISTRATION:
• Valid Indiana Driver’s License required.
EQUIPMENT: Copier, facsimile machine, computer, cash register, telephone, calculator, credit card machine, golf cart, and portable radio.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed in office settings, with moderate inside temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate in the office and moderately loud in the field. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and humid conditions. Entire office is smoke free.
