Job description

SALARY: $12.10 - per hour

POSITION SUMMARY: The Golf Shop Attendant is responsible for assisting the Golf Professional and Assistant Manager with the day–to-day operations of the golf shop.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer point of sales transactions, reserving tee times, check-in customers, receive payments, and cashing out sales report at the end of the day.
  • Meets and greets all guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Ensures golf shop is stocked of merchandise in a professional manner.
  • Ability to explain golf product and other information pertaining to our operations.
  • Adhere to the staff apparel policies.
  • Communicate to the player assistant of any additions or changes to the tee sheet. Situations that may arise on the golf course.
  • Assist with special events or outings.
  • Report comments or complaints to Golf Professional or Assistant Manager.
  • Cleanliness of building, bathrooms, golf shop displays.
  • Other duties assigned by Golf professional.
  • Help Player Assistant with carts when available.
  • Help with Caddy Shack area when available.

NON-ESSENTIAL/MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent education.

• Previous experience in cash handling.

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY:

• Knowledge of basic golf course operations.

• Product knowledge of Shop Merchandise

• Working knowledge of City or County government a plus.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSE, REGISTRATION:

• Valid Indiana Driver’s License required.

EQUIPMENT: Copier, facsimile machine, computer, cash register, telephone, calculator, credit card machine, golf cart, and portable radio.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed in office settings, with moderate inside temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate in the office and moderately loud in the field. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and humid conditions. Entire office is smoke free.
