Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR seeks a Welder to support Department of the Navy work at Portsmouth and Pearl Harbor shipyards, Puget Sound, Norfolk, and Bangor. You will weld to required standards, identify metals and fillers, and inspect finished work to ensure compliance with NDT and pressure-test criteria.

Travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites may be required. You must pass pre-employment drug testing, background checks, and security clearances as mandated for DoD roles, with PPE and safety protocols strictly

Qualifications

• This job requires the ability to perform welding tasks to required standards with minimal supervision (screen-out element).
• Experience with metals, alloys and filler metal identification is preferred.
• Applicants must meet DoD-federal hiring requirements and pass pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Identify metals, alloys and filler metal by code and markings.
• Produce welds to acceptance standards of NDT, strength, tightness or pressure tests.
• Use test methods to determine metals or alloys.
• Inspect completed welding projects and ensure quality.
