Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Structural Engineering Lead (PE) to support naval training system projects. On-site in Dallastown, PA or Orlando, FL, with travel as needed, the role leads large-scale structural installations for a high-fidelity naval propulsion simulator.

Required 10+ years in structural engineering, a SC PE license, and experience in heavy industrial environments. DoD/defense context and regulated settings preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of structural engineering experience on large mechanical or industrial structures.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of South Carolina with a structural emphasis.

Responsibilities

• Provide structural engineering leadership and technical guidance across a multi-disciplinary team.
• Review, analyze, and approve structural designs for complex engineered systems and supports.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, integration, and installation teams to meet structural requirements.
• Support design reviews, risk assessments, and engineering decisions during fabrication, assembly, and commissioning.
• Mentor engineering personnel in a matrixed environment without direct supervisory responsibilities.
