Job summary

Qualifications

• Fifteen or more years of supervisory experience on AMPHIB steam propulsion systems.
• Extensive EOOW experience on Navy surface ships.
• Direct experience with Navy ship depot level maintenance and shipboard engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and conduct ship training visits to improve Sailor proficiency in operating and maintaining ship systems.
• Develop training resources and curricula for ship systems, watches, equipment, and maintenance management.
• Lead shipboard training and coach leadership in deckplate environments.
• Perform material condition assessments of installed and portable equipment and ship structures.
• Review maintenance and operating procedures for propulsion systems and related equipment.
• Advise leadership on crew proficiency, material readiness, and program efficacy.
