Koniag IT Systems, LLC is seeking a Systems Administrator to provide comprehensive system administration support for our the U.S. Navy. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in maintaining and optimizing enterprise IT systems, implementing security protocols, and resolving technical issues. This role requires someone with hands-on experience in system configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting while ensuring high availability and performance of critical systems. This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance.

Education And Experience

  • High School Diploma: 8-10 years of experience in a related field.
  • Bachelor of Science degree: 5-7 years of experience in a related field.
  • Master of Science degree: 3-5 years of experience in a related field.

Essential Responsibilities, Functions, & Duties

  • System Administrators will provide integration support for the National Exploitation System (NES) and Integration Exploitation Capability (IEC) functions into the Surf Eagle production and dissemination architectures.
  • System Administrators will perform routine systems checks to confirm operational status and make appropriate adjustments as required.
  • System Administrators will report anomalies to the Surf Eagle IT Manager within two hours.
  • System Administrators will configure, deploy, operate, maintain, and support various networks and servers for the Surf Eagle architecture.
  • System Administrators will perform installation of software and patches
  • System Administrators will resolve issues related to user trouble tickets, network issues, and server issues
  • System Administrators will perform maintenance of data files, observation of system performance, and system backup and recovery.
  • System Administrators will maintain certification requirements for privileged users.
  • System Administrators will assist in modernization of current methods and standard operating procedures used to maintain Surf Eagle networks to include modern best practices such as Infrastructure as Code, Compliance as Code, and containerization of applications.
  • System Administrators will coordinate with organization Information System Security Officers (ISSOs), Information System Security Engineers (ISSEs), and Information System Security Managers (ISSMs) to identify and apply the necessary Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs), Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and other cyber security requirements to Surf Eagle architectures
  • System Administrators will report weekly on assigned taskings.

Required Skills And Competencies

  • System Administrators will have a working knowledge of software applications installed on various hardware and various operating system platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Must be able to work on-site at Stennis Space Center, MS
