Job summary

The U.S. Navy Reserve is seeking qualified professionals and current/former military officers to serve as Intelligence Officers while maintaining civilian careers.

Officers support operational commanders and national security missions by applying intelligence expertise, leadership, analysis, and decisive decision-making in service of the Navy and joint force. We welcome current and former commissioned officers, as well as qualified civilians for direct commission, with eligibility determined

Qualifications

• Qualified active or retired officers may affiliate with Navy Reserve based on background and requirements.
• Direct Commission candidates may be considered for commissioning into the Navy Reserve Intelligence community.
• Eligibility and selection are determined through Navy Reserve accession processes.

Navy Reserve Intelligence Officer (1835)

The U.S. Navy Reserve is seeking qualified professionals and current/former military officers interested in serving as Intelligence Officers while continuing their civilian careers.

Navy Reserve Intelligence Officers support operational commanders and national security missions by applying intelligence expertise, leadership, analysis, and decision-making in support of the Navy and joint force.

We are interested in connecting with two candidate populations:

Current and Former Commissioned Officers

Current Active Duty Navy officers considering transition, officers serving in other branches of the Armed Forces, and previously commissioned officers may have opportunities to affiliate with the Navy Reserve depending on their military background, qualifications, designator, and current Navy requirements.

Direct Commission Candidates

Qualified civilian professionals may also be considered for commissioning directly into the Navy Reserve Intelligence community. Competitive applicants generally possess strong academic credentials and relevant professional experience in intelligence, cyber, national security, STEM, international affairs, or related disciplines.

Candidates must satisfy applicable Navy commissioning, security, medical, professional, and program-specific requirements. Eligibility and selection are determined through the appropriate Navy Reserve accession process.
