Strategic Systems Programs in Washington, DC seeks a skilled Financial Manager to oversee contract funding within negotiated values and support timely awards. You will act as the subject matter expert for appropriations and manage branch planning and execution.

You will also handle purchase requests, analyze financial issues, and advise leadership on regulatory requirements, while leading reviews and reporting to identify actions for improvement.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience: preparing annual budget phasing plans, monitoring and analyzing financial execution to ensure effective resource utilization.
• Preferred working knowledge of Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
• Experience in DoD or Navy financial management is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a business financial manager, execute contract funding within negotiated values, and support timely contract awards.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for appropriations and manage branch financial planning and execution.
• Complete purchase and funding requests, analyze financial issues, respond to data and information requests, and advise stakeholders on regulatory requirements.
• Lead financial reviews, compile reports, evaluate issues, and recommend corrective actions to leadership.
• Analyze budget execution to monitor obligations, expenditures, commitments, and balances; identify trends, shortfalls, and excess resources; and recommend actions.
• Analyze, verify, and justify budget and acquisition data.
