Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Patch Manager Field Systems Technologist for Navy ELMR, based on-site in Catania, Sicily, Italy. You will manage patching operations across Windows, RHEL, and SQL services, supporting EURAFCENT systems, with reporting to leadership.

Must be a US citizen under SOFA, with travel up to 25% and DoD clearance. The role requires hands-on administration, virtualization experience, and IT security certifications, with 4+ years in related fields and strong communication

Qualifications

• Italy SOFA compliance requirements (degree or equivalent)
• IT systems administration and TCP/IP network administration experience
• CompTIA Security+ or IAT II equivalent within 6 months
• ETA CETa certification within 6 months
• Windows (10/Server), RHEL, and AD administration experience
• VMware and KVM virtualization, enterprise server hardware knowledge
• TCP/IP networking proficiency and basic admin tools (PuTTY/WinSCP/Remote Desktop)
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and MS Office suites

Responsibilities

• Implement patch updates for ASTRO Security Update Service.
• Troubleshoot patching issues in enterprise LAN/WAN environments.
• Maintain clear verbal and written communication with teams.
• Assist master site FSTs and engineering teams with maintenance across sites.
• Travel up to 25% annually for maintenance and regional patching.
• Obtain and maintain DoD Secret-level clearance per SOFA requirements.
