Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Patch Manager Field Systems Technologist (FST) to perform patching operations for the Navy ELMR across global sites. The role requires on-site presence at a military base in Catania, Italy, under SOFA, with DoD security clearance and travel up to 25% annually.

Responsibilities include patch updates, troubleshooting, and collaboration with master site and engineering teams. Candidates must meet Italy SOFA criteria and have IT systems admin experience on Windows,

Qualifications

• Requires IT systems administration and TCP/IP network administration experience.
• Must be able to obtain Security+ or IAT Level II within 6 months.
• Must be able to obtain ETA CETa within 6 months.
• Experienced with Windows and RHEL administration and Active Directory.
• Familiar with virtualization and server hardware.
• Strong networking and admin tool proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Implement patching operations for the ASTRO system.
• Troubleshoot patching issues in a high-stress enterprise environment.
• Maintain clear verbal and written communication.
• Support Master Site FSTs and Engineering teams.
• Travel up to 25% annually to support maintenance.
• Prepare and submit weekly activity reports.
