Qualifications

• Prior service in the United States Navy.
• Experience as a Boatswain’s Mate or equivalent deck operations role.
• Strong knowledge of seamanship, rigging, and deck operations.
• Ability to work in physically demanding and outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform line handling, mooring, anchoring, and towing operations.
• Operate deck equipment (winches, capstans, cranes, rigging systems).
• Support safe vessel movement and docking procedures.
• Operate small boats and assist with navigation and watchstanding duties.
• Support crew during launch, recovery, and underway operations.
• Perform routine maintenance, including painting and corrosion control, deck preservation and cleaning, equipment inspections and upkeep.
• Follow maritime safety procedures and participate in drills and emergency response activities.
