Overview:
Strategic Technology Institute, Inc. (STi) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Gas Turbine Engineering Technician (Engineering Technician VI) for a contract we are bidding on and expect to acquire in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) Code 424 mission efforts. This critical hands-on role focuses on providing deep technical support for U.S. Navy gas turbine engines and associated support systems across shipboard and land-based applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, inspection, and alteration of U.S. Navy gas turbine engines and related systems.
• Support testing, validation, and integration of gas turbine components during modernization, overhaul, and life-cycle sustainment activities.
• Provide subject-matter expertise during ship checks, technical assessments, and equipment verifications, ensuring system compliance and readiness.
• Assist engineering teams with technical documentation input, equipment condition reporting, and field-level execution of engineering change directives.
• Interface with shipyard, OEM, and Navy personnel during trials, validations, and post-installation verifications.
• Apply expert-level familiarity with support systems such as lubrication, fuel, cooling, and control systems used in Navy gas turbine propulsion environments.

Basic Qualifications (Required):

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active Secret Security Clearance
• 15+ years of direct hands-on experience working with U.S. Navy gas turbine engines and support systems (e.g., LM2500, LM500, Allison 501K, or equivalent).
• Proven ability to operate independently and in coordination with engineers, OEMs, and Navy maintainers to resolve technical problems in the field.

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Navy maintenance standards, Gas Turbine Technical Directives, and equipment condition assessments (ECAs).
• Prior experience supporting NAVSEA, NSWCPD, or U.S. Navy shipyard gas turbine programs.
• Experience with shipboard safety protocols, tag-out procedures, and quality assurance in maintenance environments.
