Job summary

Prodapt ASIC Services (formerly Innovative Logic) seeks an experienced embedded software engineer to develop, optimize and integrate motion sensor and positioning algorithms in our embedded software platform.

The role emphasizes C/C++ development, GNSS and sensor fusion, Kalman filtering, and rapid prototyping with Python or MATLAB, with opportunities for international travel to support customer projects.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in EE, Geomatics, Applied physics, or related field; PhD preferred.
• 3+ years of embedded software experience in C/C++.
• Prototyping in Python or MATLAB.
• Experience with GNSS/MEMS integration and sensor fusion.
• Experience with Jira, Gerrit, Git.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and optimize C/C++ code for Motion Sensor/Positioning algorithms in embedded software.
• Improve software efficiency in footprint, throughput, and CPU/RAM usage.
• Tune parameters to improve KPIs per customer requirements and target use cases.
• Develop software tools for analysis.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to achieve best product outcomes.
• Prepare and present technical reports on algorithms, software and tests.
• Algorithm development may include pedestrian navigation, Dead Reckoning, GNSS, sensor fusion.
• Travel internationally or domestically to support optimization and collaboration.

Job description

Prodapt ASIC Services (formerly Innovative Logic) provides end-to-end SoC/ASIC, FPGA, and embedded software solutions. Our design services cover the complete lifecycle from RTL to GDSII, covering domains like 3nm node physical design, UVM verification, DFT, and silicon bring-up for 5G, AI, and IoT.

• Develop, implement and optimize C/C++ code for the Motion Sensor and/or Positioning algorithms within our embedded software solution.
• Improve the software implementation for efficiency in code footprint, throughput and CPU/RAM usage
• Optimize parameters in the software solution to improve KPIs (Key Performance Indices) per the requirements from the customer and the target use cases of the solution
• Develop necessary software tools for the analysis
• Collaborate effectively with teams within and outside the organization for realizing the best product outcomes
• Prepare and present detailed technical reports on algorithms, software and test results
• Algorithm development may include areas such as pedestrian navigation, Dead Reckoning (DR), vehicular navigation, sports activity optimization using GNSS and various motion sensors under challenging environments, precise GNSS navigation (e.g. PPP, RTK) and scenarios necessary to enhance product performance KPIs.
• Travel internationally and/or domestically to support product optimization for customers and to collaborate with team members in other geographies

Job Requirements:

• Master with 3+ years or PhD (preferred) related experience in Electrical Engineering, Geomatics Engineering, Applied physics, Aeronautical Engineering or related disciplines.
• Embedded software development in C/C++ and rapid prototyping in Python or MATLAB
• Hands-on experience in Motion Sensor software development, Kalman Filter, GNSS/MEMS integration and sensor fusion
• Experience with Jira, Gerrit, Git
• Analysis of complex software to determine anomalies and potential areas of improvement
• Understanding about VIO (Vision Inertial Odometer) is plus
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Able to work with minimal supervision, and highly collaborative in a team environment
