Ultra Maritime is seeking a Senior Engineering Leader to drive complex project execution from proposal to delivery. You will provide technical accountability, shape bids, and manage risks while guiding multi-disciplinary teams toward on-time, on-budget outcomes.

This role requires strong communication and leadership across functions, with potential for security clearance involvement and a focus on advancing naval technology in a demanding defense environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in a complex engineering environment.
• 3+ years of engineering leadership or people-management experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
• May be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills across functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead project engineering execution and set direction for teams.
• Own technical delivery from proposal through delivery.
• Serve as a senior escalation point for complex challenges.
• Shape executable solutions for bids and proposals.
• Identify risks early and establish mitigation strategies.
• Develop plans aligning people and resources to high-priority work.
• Collaborate with Program Management, Operations, and Quality.
