Job summary

JSL Technologies, Inc. in Port Hueneme, CA seeks a GWS and NFCS Engineering Support Specialist to provide systems engineering, hardware engineering, test and evaluation, lifecycle support, and fleet support for naval weapon systems.

You will validate maintenance cards, develop test procedures, support engineering change proposals, and assist with lab and shipboard testing while ensuring safety and compliance with DoD requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and seven years of professional experience.
• Extensive knowledge in Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Computer Engineering.
• Ability to travel for On-Board Technical Assistance requests.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering and test and evaluation support for the MK 34 and MK 48 Gun Weapon Systems and the Naval Fires Control System.
• Validate Maintenance Requirement Cards and review engineering and logistics reports.
• Conduct hardware and software testing at lab, test sites, and on ships; troubleshoot equipment and document results.
• Develop test procedures and initiate or support Engineering Change Proposals.
• Support creation and revision of Engineering Change Proposals, Installation Drawings, Technical Manuals, and PMS/ORDALT documents.
• Perform DMSMS market research and assessments to mitigate hardware obsolescence.
• Provide fleet support in office and on ships, including On-Board Technical Assistance requests.
• Assist with project plans, schedules, budgets, risks, and program documentation.
